Henderson/Getty ImagesFree agency and the 2019 NFL Draft are in the rear view mirror, and with OTAs kicking off for most teams around the league, the summer doldrums are right around the corner. The Seattle Seahawks started OTAs on Monday, with the team releasing a short highlight video which is likely to do little more than stoke fans hopes for 2019. It, of course, includes shots of the highest paid player in the NFL, Russell Wilson, and second round draft pick DK Metcalf catching passes. However, OTAs are non-contact practices Doug Baldwin Color Rush Jersey , so it’s not difficult for players to look great doing what they’re doing. That said, how many of the Seahawks best players from 2018 will be back on the field in 2019? ProFootballFocus has authored a series of tweets over the past week looking at the projected starting lineup for every team in the NFL and highlighting the positions where the projected starter graded out at 80 or higher last season. For the Hawks, this is just over a quarter of their starters, with Bobby Wagner and Poona Ford meeting this criteria on defense while Duane Brown, Russell Wilson, Chris Carson and Tyler Lockett meeting the threshold on offense. That might seem like quite a departure from seasons past when fans are likely to believe that the majority of the members of the defense deserved grades above 80. However, 2013 is the only season in which the Hawks defense had more than two players earn grades in the 80s and 90s, when the team had four such players (Michael Bennett, Richard Sherman, Brandon Mebane and how 2018 ended. It appears as though the division is once again likely to come down to which team is able to emerge victorious from the showdowns between the Seahawks and Rams. It should be a quiet Sunday for fans of the Seattle Seahawks, as they can sit back and enjoy the rest of the games that are on without having to stress through a game of their own since the Hawks don’t play until Monday. On Monday Night Football the Seahawks will host the Minnesota Vikings in a game with significant playoff implications for both teams C. J. Prosise Color Rush Jersey , as well as the rest of the NFC Wild Card contenders. Saturday the Hawks released their final injury report before the game, and in what comes as no surprise, D.J. Fluker is listed as doubtful while K.J. Wright is listed as out. Fluker’s absence has been anticipated all week, as the team let fans know early in the week that rookie Jordan Simmons would be making his second career start at right guard as a result of Fluker’s hamstring injury. Wright has played in only three games this season as the result of a lingering knee issue, and his continued absence is somewhat mitigated in Week 14 by the return from suspension of Mychal Kendricks. In any case, here is the injury report. Two of the three names on the questionable list are no surprise, as Doug Baldwin has been battling through injuries all season and Tre Madden is still recovering from the chest injury he suffered against the Carolina Panthers in Week 12. As Bob Condotta notes, Baldwin is a game time decision for Seattle, they will likely see how he does in pregame warmups before making a determination on his availability. The third name, however, is a late addition to the injury report and is a surprise to see as questionable Tre Madden Color Rush Jersey , Rashaad Penny. Penny is listed as having been a full participant in practice all week, but at some point apparently injured an ankle. It will certainly be worth watching to see if Penny suits up on Monday, but with the team likely to have three other running backs active, including Chris Carson, Mike Davis and J.D. McKissic, it’s possible that even if he is active for the game, Penny may not see a huge number of snaps. Be sure to check back in the lead up to the game to find out which seven players the Seahawks designate as inactive.
